About Us: Our Leadership Team

Our History Research & Innovation

Cara Bradley – Director

I have spent my human services career in the non-profit sector preceded by a background in business. I have always had a strong commitment to this work, but my passion for it grew exponentially during my time working in the homeless sector with a primary focus on addictions and mental health. It was during this time that the importance of addressing the root causes of trauma, and its lifelong impacts, became apparent to me and I transitioned into the domestic violence sector.

I am dedicated to supporting our agency in creating much needed program offerings that work to address violence as the root of poverty and addiction across the lifespan.

Jasmin Maryniak – Manager, Operations & Client Support

I have been with Heart Home Network since January 2018 and have taken on many roles during my employment.

The energetic and enthusiastic Operations and Client Support team can be seen supporting front desk functions, assisting participants with various tasks, overall unit repairs and building cleanliness, as well as supporting move-ins, move-outs, and other landlord functions.

Krista Elliott – Manager, Child Development

I have been with Heart Home Network since January 2023. I started as a Case Manager for the Stabilization program and moved into the Manager of Child Development role in June, 2023. Prior to working at HHN, I have worked as a Social Worker in the non-profit sector for the last 15 years.

My passion for supporting children and families has always been rooted in the immense strength, determination, and power that they have. It is an immense privilege to walk alongside moms and their children as they find safety and continue to fight incredible battles to protect themselves and their children.

Nicole Heslin – Manager, Counselling & Community Services

In my early twenties I discovered that pursuing a career in social work would give me an education and an opportunity to leave the positive impact on the world that I had always dreamed of investing my life in. Early in my education I decided that I wanted to work with women in the non-profit sector. I graduated in 2019 and relocated to Calgary determined to work with women in need.

In 2020 I started work as a Case Manager and in 2023 my focus shifted from frontline work to leadership as Manager of the Counselling and Community Services team. The Counselling and Community Services team is a dedicated, passionate group of individuals who consistently strive to go above and beyond their required roles to meet the needs of those they serve. I consider myself privileged to work alongside them and I am constantly inspired by the resiliency of those we serve and the work our team does daily.

Meet Our Accredited Facility Dog

An Accredited Facility Dog is part of our team working with staff and residents at Heart Home Network. He has many skills, including leaning on human friends to provide comfort, a dog hug as long as a human friend needs, laying his head on a human lap to provide comfort and much more!
